There are defining moments in life that divide who we were from who we become.
In this work, bees, blossoms and honeycomb surround the figure until transformation becomes clear. She is no longer simply tending the hive. Something deeper has taken place reshaping the boundaries of who she once was and asking her to hold and sustain life beyond herself.
Like the work of bees, much of this labor goes unseen. It is patient and relentless, built slowly through small acts repeated again and again. It asks for a steady presence and an unconditional giving of the self that is rarely celebrated. Yet from that humming industry comes sweetness, growth and the fragile miracle of life carried forward.
And although the transformation asks everything of her, the sweetness is worth the sting.
